How Does Twilight Stack Up Against True Blood?

Charlaine Harris Books

First off, apologies if you have tried to visit the CharlaineHarrisBooks.com website this morning (11th June). I had a few bugs to iron out so there is a bit of an overhaul happening on it, much to my dismay. Trust me though, I will work day and night if need be to get my “baby” up and running again!

Furthermore, I would like to contact you in the near future (if I may) to ask for your suggestions what you would like to see on the site. Although right now the book reviews are very good (in my opinion and I hope you agree??) the site needs some sprucing. Having said that, if you look at many other sites you tend to find adverts and video links every where – to the point of becoming ridiculous. I do not want this for the Charlaine Harris site as I want it to stand out from the others. Sure thing – some video posts are good! Some ads are good! But let’s just leave it at “some” shall we?
Oh and by the way, if you do frequent relevant online forums I would be grateful if you were to mention this site, or tell your friends – the more people that know about it the better it will become for ALL OF US!
Okay now, back to our current topic matter – the up and coming True Blood Season 2!!
True Blood” (inspired by the “Sookie Stackhouse” book series by Charlaine Harris) will premiere its second season this Sunday on HBO. For those of you who have been lusting after the racey series, your thirst will be more than quenched with Ryan Kwanten Jason Stackhousestory lines ranging from the arrival of Hadley, Sookie’s lesbian cousin, who will also be seduced into the vampiral world. However, unlike her telepathic cousin Sookie (Anna Paquin), Hadley will not be seduced by Bill (Stephen Moyer) but none other than the vampire queen. But for
those of you who loved Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) comical lines, don’t worry there will be morecomical aspects this season. Such as, newly teen vamp Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) who doesn’t want to play by the rules and the spiritually enlightened sex-crazed, recovering
v-addict Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten in photo).

For those of who think this is just a mere imitation of “Twilight”, you are sadly mistaken. “True Blood” unlike “Twilight” isn’t about self-flagellation and abstinence. “True Blood” gives into all the lust and corporal pleasures.

Harris’ world is much more nitty-gritty, with
vampire blood being used as an aphrodisiac and sexual relations between
humans and vampires being considered another delicious taboo in this

small Louisianan town. These vampires are not in hiding like those in the Stephanie Meyer’s world; no, they are fighting for their civil rights.

As the second season of True Blood has started I am more excited for Nelsan Ellis’s role I love him, I think the show would be the same without Layfaette.
