CharlaineHarrisBooks.com started out as a site devoted to promoting – well, em, Charlaine Harris books actually, but…

given some time, things will change and Charlaine Harris Books.com will become more of a following towards the goings on at HBO and True Blood – certainly right now anyhow!!

I shall be updating this page on occasion but the Charlaine Harris site as a whole will be changing slowly but surely to reflect the goings on at True Blood in addition to other noteworthy news and updates.

Feel free to comment or ask questions… I’m open to suggestions for site content since, like I mentioned before, this site will be “morphed” into something a bit different, and can be changed into whatever you’d like it to be.

As one of Charlaine’s devoted UK fans, I have to tell you I am not sure about the series True Blood, the offensive language is excessive and I do not see this as being true to the books. I will stick to the books and miss the TV series. Patricia Griffiths

As a devoted fan of the Sookie series (I’ve just almost finished listening to the 9 audio books for a second time) all I can say about True Blood is euuuuwwwwww!

Unlike the books, True Blood is disgusting, boring, predictable and totally unsexy. I tried to like it – I really did – but I’d much rather fire up my CD player, lay back with a glass of wine, close my eyes and let the wonderful audio books’ reader (Johanna Parker) read to me about Sookie and Eric making love. Wow can Harris write a love scene!!

And WOW can the True Blood writers butcher a story line.

I know Harris can’t admit it but she has to be soooo disappointed – I know I sure am.

I HAVE READ ALL THE SOOKIE STACKHOUSE NOVELS AND WATCH THE THE SHOW TRUE BLOOD ON HBO AND LOVE THEM BOTH ( BUT WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOOKIE & ERIC TOGETHER ). I ALSO KNOW NO MATTER WHAT YOU READ IN A BOOK ITS NEVER THE SAME ON SCREEN BUT THAT ALSO OK CAUSE IT GIVES TWO MORE REASONS TO READ SOMETHING AGAIN OR WATCH ON TV TO SEE WHERE THEY MADE CHANGES TO THE STORY LINES. P.S. WHEN ARE YOU COMING OUT WITH THE NEXT SOOKIE NOVEL?

Its good you enjoyed both the books and the TV series. I know a lot of folks can’t quite get the series, although they adore the books. Each to their own though.

Regards new Sookie novels. There is a book out shortly – planned for next month actually but its another novella type, with interviews, faq’s and the like.

But, the real Sookie novel is due out in May of this year – its called Dead Reckoning!
